Voila Dudu ma demandé la synthése/resumé pour l'oral de bac d'anglais, je poste se que j'avais fait (j'ai eu 14 à l'oral), ça pourra aider surement Vidal ou Fervex ou Aka... ah non pas aka il pose des ventilo  :aka: 


PROGRESS
Intro : In the twentieth and the twenty first centuries, we have witnessed many examples of progress and it's amazing and dramatic consequences on human life. Thanks to scientific and medical progress, our life expectancy has increased and the quality of our life has improved.

PB : We can ask about what medical and scientific progess improved our lives ? that's the matter we shall debate in this essay.
PLAN : at first we're going to talking about medical progress in our life then after we're going to talking about scientific progress.

I/ Lets start to MEDICAL PROGRESS

SO, in the british newspaper "daily mail" Molly Nash was born with a genetical disease called Faconi's Anemia, molly nash supposed to die of cancer at the age of 7. Thanks to adam stem cell (her brother designed to save molly) molly nash was saved and survived. Adams stem cells allowed molly to survive. The doctor transplanted his stem cells into molly's immune system. But this procedure raises an ethical problem. so thanks to scientific and medical progress, it's now possible to cure diseases that could not be cured in the past.
Thanks to medical progress, doctor could save people like cancer of breast cancer, the chances to survive are higher. however some kinds of cancer remain very hard to cure, that's why doctor and scientists are working with financial assistance from the gouvernment.

BUT it raises an ethical problem because scientific and medical progress using people to cure other people, is quite contreversial because like the 3rd generation pill was tested on humain and 4 people was died in december 2012.

However medical progress allows us to strengthen our family ties, for example if my mother need a kidney I am able to give him a kidney.

II/ So let to move on the second part, were going to talk about scientifiq progress.

We can talk about space conquest : Neil amstrong the first man to setting foot on the moon in 1969 during the mission appolo 11. Thanks to physician and mathematician who sent satellites into space we're be able to surfing in internet, called our family who lives on the other side of the world.
Internet and new technologies have clearly been a progress for freedom : during the arab spring, social networks and mobile phones helped the people to organise against the dictatur of Ben Ali.
But the social networks given birth to internet bashing, cyberstalking.
For example in 2012 a fifteen years old girl Amanda Todd commited suicide after seeing picture of her naked on internet.
Social networking also raise question in terms of respect of privacy.

However, scientific progress is not always good for man : We can also speak about the nuclear bomb who einstein has contributed to created them with the theory E=MC².
Men were able to create a weapon capable of destroying all civilization.
For example the USA used the nuclear bomb against japan during the TWO world war in the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 : it there's been 200 million death.

TO CONCLUDE : i would say that scientifiq progress has caused medical  wonders but also many contreversies in real life.  should we consider progress like a negative things ? like the nuclear bomb ? .  should we consider progress like a positiv things like cure fatal diseases like cancer ?
and necessary reminders that human  freedom and physical integrity  should be put in the science hand ?
Clive Lewis author of " the world of Narnia " said " we all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress, means doing on about turn and walking back to right road "

Espace et echanges
Intro : In the modern world, exchanges of all kinds between countries are common, since we live in a world of influence and communication. Immigration is a good exemple of those exchanges. Even if exchanges are made easir today thanks to different means of communication, information and transportation, they also involve  dynamics of exclusion rather than inclusion.

PB : So we can ask how immigration is an ambiguous notion, reflecting dynamics of influence, inclusion but also exclusion sometimes.

PLAN : At first we will see that immigration and cultural exchange shape a nation's identity.
In the second part we will show that those exchange do not necessarily mean inclusion, but exclusion.

I/
Lets start to immigration dynamics of attraction and influence

We will focus on Ellis Island, which is a symbol of immigration to the USA. In the nineteenth century a lot of European immigrants moved to USA. They will escape persecutions in Europe for example Jews. The HOMESTEAD ACT is also a factor of immigration because an american law said that after living for 5 years on a land you could become the owner .
Those european immigrant arrived to the USA in new york by the statue of liberty in ellis island. but there were condition to entering the american territory they must undergo several tests as trachoma, lameness.
The Myth of American culture call " the american dream" where everything is possible, we can start from scratch, we can climb the social ladder if we have the ambitions. A lot of Mexicans move to USA to have a better life, better paid jobs and can send money to their families at home. But now is difficult to cross the Mexican border, now protected by a border patrol.
Thanks to immigration usa is now called "the melting pot". In certain area panels are in different language and a lot of famous brands use "spanglish" a mix of english and spanish to appeal to the immigrants buying power. Rap music, tex-mex food, are also signs of the influence of the immigration in USA.

The britsh empire had a lot of colonies, after the second world war immigration from the commonwealth to the United kingdom was encouraged to rebuild the country. Indian immigrants are now the dominant ethnic group of great britain, more that 300 languages are spoken in london and many communities live side by side.

II/ So now let to move on the second part, were going to talk about the dynamic of exclusion
Immigration involves a paradox : it creates dynamic of inclusion and dynamic of exlusion. In USA many immigratns are undocumented and have no place in society. They dont have Green card, the right to drive, impossibility of having acces to college education.
The musical show "west side story" in the music "America"  shows these problems, they make a singing battle : the jets (white american) versus the shark( immigrant from puerto rico). For one groups USA represent a space of freedom, prosperity and for the other groups USA represent place of criminality, dicrimination, racism.

An other exampl of this paradoxe is the importation of african slave. African slave were bought in africa and transported to america to work in cotton plantation. Black and white people are not equal and thanks to Rosa parks, Marting luther king now black and white people are equal.
It can still be a trauma in the black community, today famous black rappers display bling bling gold chains symbolizing a revenge on slavery and segregation.

MYTHS ET HEROS
Intro :Heroes and myths are always present in our life, and that since antiquity. heroes can be real or fictional characters who marked history, and everyday life. Myths can be transmitted  from generation to generation, or written in books, but can also be real people, or a way of thinking. But there are myths and heroes in other area such as music, politics.

PB : We can ask about how evolved heroes and which measure myths reflects the condition of human life. thats the matter we shall debate in this essay.
PLAN : At first step we're going to talking about heros in our daily life then after we're going to talking about the place of the myths in our society and the changes that have been made.

I/ Lets start to HEROS IN OUR DAILY LIFE

The heroes can be real or imaginary like in the movies or comic books. For example the super heroes like superman, batman fight against the evil and enforced the order. The undercover agent James bond role is to face that chaos and restore order.
But now the heroes of today are more human like volunteers for homeless people during winter, their give her food and shelters. The fireman during the day of 11 september when the twin towers in world trade center collapsed.
Doctor when they saved life, cure a fatal diseases like cancer.
Nelson mandela is one heros in south africa : he fight against apartheid where black and white people are separate in public places such as buses, benches, toilets.

II/ So now let to move on the second part, were going to talk about the place of myths in our society.

Myths can be transmitted  from generation to generation, or written in books, but can also be real people or a way of thinking.

The Myth of American culture call " the american dream" where everything is possible, we can start from scratch, we can climb the social ladder if we have the ambitions.
Myths can also be associated with singers like Elvis Presley the myth of blues and rock.
In the sixties many singers took singing protest song against Vietnam War like Jim morrison a sex symbol of musique rock, member of the groups " the doors ".
Bob dylan write also protest song agaisnt vietnam war called " blowin in the wind " .

Politic leader and politic icons are also a myth like Che guevara an icon of quite a different type. As he is quite contreversial. his image can be found everywhere from mugs to t-shirt. he gave up his job as a doctor to help overthrow cuban dictator Batista. His name came to embody revolution and class struggle.

Another myth that has changed society is Gandhi is a political leader, and important spiritual leader of India and the movement for the independence from british control.
In 1930, he organised a symbolical march to the sea in  order to prompt Indian people to refuse to pay taxes. Gandhi has inspired many liberation movements and civil rights around the world : Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and Aung San Suu Kyi.

TO CONCLUDE : i would say that the heroes and myths evolved progressively in the time, they tend to give a good view of the world and values such as respect, peace, and trying to have a better world for the futur.
